week four: hands

Here is this weeks photo. Lias, my almost two year old loves playing with bubbles! Sometimes he even tries to eat them. yuck. I have also posted a few archived photos of hands that I really like.

Week Three: imagine

With three boys I can't help but be envious of all you other 'mom'tographers with little girls. You get to take pretty pictures at the drop of a dime. The going rate at my house has gone up to $10 a picture and I am in debt to my sons quite a bit. Here is my youngest, modeling one of my handmade hats. He is obviously not liking this too much.

Betsy and Dennis Engaged!

Seriously loved photographing this hot couple! I know Besty through my childhood friends. In fact, my first "session" was of her cousins, my friend, Alisha. I was excited to meet up with Betsy and her fiance Dennis for some sunset photos. We met in downtown Elkhorn (Wisconsin). They drove up from Chicago and I drove down from Madison. I think overall we did a good job capturing their relationship.

My favorite childhood memory was when I would stay with my grandparents on their farm when I was younger. I would take long walks with my grandma and pick raspberries and help my grandpa milk the cows. I even thought sweeping up cow poop in my knee high rubber boots was fun!

Madtown Topper *** Nicole Hansen Photography giveaway

First and foremost, I want to thank each and everyone of my fans from both my Madtown Topper and my photography page. I appreciate the business all of my customers have given me this past year and a half. I started Madtown Topper as a way to express my creative energy and also help support my family while staying home with my exclusively breastfed baby. It's truly been a pleasure serving all of you. As far as Madtown Topper's future, things are going to be slow. My dental hygiene job search is now in full swing. I am excited to (finally) start this newish venture in my life. I will continue to make my 'One Of A Kind' hats when time allows, but am going to stay closed for the time being. I hope that you all can understand. On to the giveaway details.

Week Two: Belly Laughs

I know I could have totally gone with a silly one of my kiddos, but when I was editing some engagement photos last night, this one really stuck out to me. I love the little ackward burst of laughter midsession.

Whitney Mann - Musician

Madison is full of talented young artist, which is one of the reasons why I love living here so much. My neighbor, Whitney Mann, just so happens to be one of those people. She is a singer/songer writer who plays all over Wisconsin, pleasing fans. I encourage you to watch the video I posted below. Or check her out on facebook. And, if you like what you hear, you could even purchase her cd, Western Sky.  I had the chance to take some photos of Whitney and her husband, Kyle, who is also part of the band. The weather was beautiful and I think we had a pretty fun time taking them. Enjoy :)
