Morning Light + Knitted Hats + Pretty Lady
For the past few weeks I've been working on some knitted hats for women to sell in my OOAK sales on my facebook page, Madtown Topper. It's been a nice change of pace. I really wanted to capture some awesome product shots to help sell these so I contacted one of my friends, who just so happens to be gorgeous, to help me out. She was ready and willing. We met at an exlusive location that I'd have to kill to disclose. Just kidding, it's off an old railroad track in the town of Burke. <- That was me trying to be funny....not working!? Ok, moving on. The time was nine in the morning and I still wasn't wearing a bra, it's my new thing. Sara didn't know though because of my jacket. (Still trying to be funny and still not working) I'm just going to post the photos as this is just getting weird and uncomfortable. (should have left the bra comment out)

Evoking You 52 Weeks
Wee One: Mirror
I had my friend Sara meet me on a cold January morning to take a couple product shots of my hand knit hats. At the end of our session I noticed the mirror like reflection in her glasses and immediately thought of this challenge. Come back and see the rest of the images from our session.

Week One ~ Blue
This year I am participating in a 52 week photo challenge over at the Evoking You forum. I am super excited because the groups have been split into ten people making it more intimate. So, maybe this year I will actually finish.
Week One: Blue
I had a lot of fun with this one! Chances are I will not go over board in the coming weeks like I did this week.

Christmas Light Bokeh
We finally got around to shopping for a Christmas tree. This is our very first real tree! YAY! The smell reminds me of my childhood. After the kiddos fell asleep I had to test out what kind of bokeh I could get from the lights. I shot all the photos at 1/100th in manual focus, or should I say out of focus because I didn't focus my camera at all. Hmmm. I think it's time for bed.

Rock the Shot ~ Family Challenge
A few months ago I had the opportunity to photograph and absolutely wonder family. This was my very first session with 'strangers' and I was quite anxious to meet them. We scheduled the session at the UW Arboretum just at sunset. It was a beautiful autumn day although the weather was a bit chilly. Upon meeting we decided to take a few less traditionally posed family shots. Here is my favorite of the session.
I thought it would fit in well with this months photo challenge over at Rock the Shot.

Personal ~ Halloween
Here are a few photos from the UW Arboretum in Madison WI. My siser in law and I started the day festive filled day by snapping some backlit photos of our boys in their costumes.
Sweet Baby G is Four Months Old!
A month or two ago I was contacted by an individual interested in having some photos taken of her four month old. She had found me through my other page on facebook, Madtown Topper and liked my photography style. When I received her email, I was a little leery because this would be the first time I have photographed a family whom I have no ties to. I gave her a disclaimer and she was still down for some photos. I was super excited!
Our session was on a Saturday at 4pm. Mom had told me that she loved backlit photos so we our timing worked out perfect. Little G was awesome the whole time. She is the most adorable black haired blue eyes roll'ie' baby. Here are some of my favorite shots from our session.
